WhatsApp Communications

Shri Sheetal Cotton operates CottonSalwar and is responsible for the personal information used in our customer communications. If you contact us on WhatsApp or choose to receive WhatsApp messages from us, we process your phone number, profile name, message content, relevant order details, communication preferences, and message delivery or read status to handle your request and provide the communications you have agreed to receive.

With your permission, WhatsApp communications may include order and cash-on-delivery (COD) confirmations, shipping and delivery updates, customer support, and feedback requests. Promotional messages, news, offers, and COD-to-prepaid offers are sent only where you have opted in to WhatsApp marketing. Providing a phone number for an order alone does not subscribe you to WhatsApp marketing. Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing.

We use WhatsApp Business and, where connected, Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform to exchange messages. Our messaging integration uses Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1 to receive and store copies of message events, including customer phone numbers, message text, and delivery status, for our internal customer-support tools. These providers may process information outside India as described in their privacy notices and the International Transfers section of our detailed store privacy policy.

Copies of WhatsApp message events in our Cloudflare integration are retained for 180 days and removed through routine daily cleanup. This period applies to the integration's event store; it does not automatically delete the original WhatsApp Business chats, order records, consent records, or provider backups, which follow their applicable retention arrangements and the other retention provisions in this policy.

You can withdraw permission for WhatsApp messages, request that promotional messages stop, or ask about access, correction, or deletion of your information by replying STOP, sending us a request on WhatsApp at +91 90099 47188, or using the contact details below.
